Timing is everything for Paulo Santos, who always keeps a keen and watchful eye on movement and expressions. Framing is one of his fortes, but he’s a firm believer in happening upon scenes instead of creating them. “A moment needs to be seen, allowed to happen naturally, or not at all,” says Santos, a Nikon photographer who shot commercial events before moving to weddings. He’s been in pursuit of images “that strike that chord inside me.”
