Martina Ruffini describes her style as “elegant and refined,” drawing from artistic and cinematic influences to create timeless frames that bask in romantic atmospheres. A Sony photographer, Ruffini shifted her post-production look in the last wedding season, “eliminating the superfluous” to instead give her photos “a natural mood that can last in time and not go out of fashion.”

With a discreet approach to shooting on wedding days, Ruffini strives to be like a great travel buddy to her couples—“always present but never cumbersome,” she says. She would describe herself as an introvert and admits that she isn’t always open with people when she first meets them. But with photography, she says, “I found a vent valve, a way of expressing myself to bring out what I can sometimes not express in words. I love to excite others with my images and to do so, I have to get excited first. When this happens for me, it is magic.”
