Eshant Raju Oguri finds that post-production is one of the most important elements in photography. A Sony photographer, he estimates that he delivers 90 percent of the photos in color and 10 percent in black and white. He even lets his couple have some level of input on how their photos turn out: “I generally tend to give clients a couple of options for tones as a sample to understand the taste of the client before editing the full set,” he says.

Though he’s been following the same approach to his client experience from day one, Oguri says he also welcomes constructive feedback so that he can improve. Generally photographing weddings that span multiple days and ceremonies, Oguri loves capturing all of it from start the finish, tracing a narrative through every possible photographable moment. “The whole essence of photography in a wedding for me is meaningful storytelling,” he says, “so even when the couple looks at their wedding photos 20 years later, it should bring back happy memories.”
