Charlotte Kiri, of Charlotte Kiri Photography in Wanaka, New Zealand, didn’t start her photo business knowing she’d share it with her husband, Bruno, but one day when a second shooter pulled out of a wedding at the last minute, he stepped in to help and they decided it felt right. Today, Bruno shoots wedding films for Charlotte Kiri Photography while Charlotte is the principal photographer.

A sporty couple who skates and snowboards, they say they feel most at home in the mountains, where most of their weddings and elopements take place these days. “We love to capture those epic, banger mountain shots,” they profess, “which the clients will print giant and hang up on their wall!”

As Canon photographers who also shoot Polaroids, their editing style is inspired by Scandinavian décor, earthy tones and colorful pastels. They prefer to shoot frames that are free from distractions and clutter, and they always have an eye on true-to-reality skin tones while indulging in “magical” composite creations, too.
