Baptiste Hauville would describe his style as “wild, raw and natural,” he says, with an accented focus on pure passion. “I just want the people who are looking at my images to feel something,” he says, “a goosebump, a tear, a smile.” Coming from a street photography background where he took portraits of strangers, Hauville is unafraid to go right up to people and stay close. He’s a Canon camera man (who pairs up with a Sigma Art 35mm f/1.4 lens “99 percent of the time,” he says), and he keeps his editing “as simple as possible,” honing in on beautiful skin tones in each frame.
