Naomi and Pablo found photographer Pablo Laguia‘s work through his logo, he says, as they are both graphic designers. “They contacted me thinking I was from Mexico,” says Laguia, who’s based in Spain, “but the chemistry between us was amazing so they decided to bring me to Chihuahua to be their wedding photographer. They loved my work and I knew their wedding would be the kind of weddings I love to shoot—natural and relaxed with grooms deeply in love in a natural environment, just having fun with their friends and family.”

The couple exchanged vows in the middle of a forest called Noritari, known as the “bewitched forest” by those that live in that area. “People say that Norita is a magic place where you can find the meaning of living thoroughly,” Laguia says, and he suspects this legendary enchantment also helped him capture the wedding without any bumps in the road whatsoever.

The bridal party as well as the guests were hosted in Noritari’s cabins in San Juanito, which “always makes everything easier during the day, and you can see it in the resulting photos.”

Sol, the owner of Noritari, served traditional Mexican food for the wedding’s meals. It was “amazing,” Laguia says, “and something very curious is that for the drinks, there was only water and coffee—not even a drop of alcohol!” But this party didn’t need cocktails to turn up the fervor—”this wedding is one of my favorites of all time because it was very emotional, and so unique.”
