Photos of the Week
Given that the back of this wedding dress is a stunner, photographer Shelby Stewart of The Wedding Click knew she wanted show it. Her original plans for a wide shot, however, needed to change when the room wouldn’t accommodate.
She set the bride up in a room with plenty of natural light streaming through the windows, angling her so that there would be natural fall-off toward to the back of her dress. “Her mom and bridesmaids helped with the final touches,” Stewart says. The room, though well-lit, was unfortunately a little too tight for that.
Rather than force her vision of a wide shot, Stewart thought quick on her feet and stepped back into the adjoining hallway, shooting vertically and lending a sense of intimacy to the image.
“I told them to continue to make sure that everything was in the right place,” she explains. “They were all very meticulous on making sure that every button was in place, and I adored watching them make sure that their bride looked perfect.”
