At the Snake River Ranch near Jackson Hole, Wyoming, Braden Young was in the midst of photographing Ashley and Mitch’s wedding over the 4th of July weekend.

“They separated themselves from their guests for a moment to let their family and friends find their seats for dinner before being announced as Mr. and Mrs. Kidd for the first time,” Young recalls. “I hung back with them to share in this quiet moment and capture them holding hands and anxiously waiting to be called to their seats and join the party.”

Anticipation between the couple translates to calm through Young’s lens. He went with black and white, tipping his hat to the couple’s black-and-white wardrobe and ensuring the focus is on them as the wedding scene and surrounding mountains faded serenely into the background.
