Photographer Esther Wild, based in King’s Lynn and West Norfolk, England, wanted to get creative with couple Gemma and Robert, but she found herself without much opportunity to flex her artistic muscles in central London, where the shoot took place, and the couple didn’t have time to venture out to a different location. So, Wild did the next best thing: created an out-of-camera double exposure.

“During my break, I went for a walk and shot the skyline in Hampstead Heath to patch in digitally later on,” Wild says. “Their closeup just needed to have a cloudy sky backdrop. I love the space that the framing and double exposure creates. And although we didn’t have the time to wander around landscapes for that London look, the iconic skyline is still truly present.”
