According to wedding photographer Tariq Irfaan of The Vanilla Project, a typical Malay-Singaporean wedding like this one can be quite hectic, with guests waiting and wanting to take a photo with the couple seated at a dais. “But that didn’t stop newlyweds Stefan and Hasnita from taking a break from it all and just getting up and dancing to the music,” Irfaan says. “I love how in the moment they are and how happy they look.”

The seaside venue, Gurame Restaurant in Singapore, was very impressive, the photographer adds, and he loved “how the veranda was decorated with flowers to give the dais a rustic look. Stefan is from the Netherlands and Hasnita is a Malay-Singaporean, and here their cultures are beautifully blended.”
