While photographers are often hired for their artistic eye, good things can come when clients chime in and offer their creative suggestions. That’s what happened during this at-home photo session as Charlotte, North Carolina-based Jamie Lucido was photographing one-month-old baby Eleanor.

“This shot was a suggestion from Dad,” she notes. “He asked big sister Abby to stand on a stool and peek over the crib at the baby. It resulted in a sweet sequence of shots where, eventually, they both were peeking over.”

The room was filled with natural light that worked perfectly for the shoot, but Lucido says the biggest challenge was simply fitting the precious memory into one frame—an issue she solved easily with a swift lens swap. “It was a small space, so once I switched from a 50mm to a 35mm, that was able to fit everything I wanted.”
