Kirill and Olga of Shevtsovy Photography had just finished taking formal portraits and, as they were enjoying the warm glow from the setting sun at this Montenegro wedding, they thought up this photo. “At this point, the groomsmen were running around and giving the groom high fives,” the photographers recall. “We proposed they have some fun by throwing him into the air.”

While the groom was crying tears of joy during the celebratory toss, the photographers were relishing the moment for other reasons. “It is all about the moment and light,” they say. “We like that the groom is captured at the highest point of his flight, but we also get to see his emotions, the nice light and the beautiful Montenegro background.”
