Just in his communication with them over phone and email prior to their intimate wedding, photographer Henry Tieu very quickly realized how fun and quirky Cydney and Jordan are together. “So right from the beginning when I arrived,” he says, “I looked for opportunities to make their wedding day fun and unique, not just during the sunset session but throughout the entire day.”

Tieu spotted this bathtub nestled right next to a big window. “When I saw it and how perfect the light was, I asked if they want to jump in, get cozy and help each other with makeup,” he explains. And Tieu was glad he made the suggestion: as soon as they hopped in, they immediately relaxed and joked around. “The natural light on their skin helped them with perfecting their makeup. The reflected light from the bathtub itself helped light up their necks and faces for me to photograph. It truly was a perfect situation for all of us.”
