Jarrod Joachim got a tap from Archive Bridal, a boutique wedding shop in Southern California, to shoot photos for them at the Carlsbad Flower Fields.

“This photo took place after hours, which is why we were allowed rare access into the fields,” Joachim says. “The long rows of colorful flowers allowed me to incorporate dramatic leading lines and symmetry in this image.”

With the plunging back of this dress, Joachim had the model angle her back to him as she looked over her shoulder, “placing her arm on her hip to create a triangle,” he says, creating “a modern but timeless image.”
