The night before the couple was set to exchange vows on their elopement to Banff National Park, amid Alberta’s Rocky Mountains in Canada, the skies laid down a blanket of white snow that turned the perfectly picturesque landscape into a winter wonderland.

“After these two exchanged personal vows,” says Afton Flynn (of Film and Forest Photography), who shot this photo, “a fierce wind gust whipped up fresh snow off the frozen lake and within seconds, we were engulfed in a full sheet of white. Luckily, the warm car was only meters away, but for one brief moment, I caught the groom holding on tightly to his bride before the viewfinder went white.”
