An Ideal Photo Moment at a Wedding

When Robbie and Rosa’s wedding took place at the Annadel Estate Winery in Sonoma, California, Amy Little. Little was just thrilled to be photographer Russell Edwards’ (of RussLevi.com) second shooter. From him she watched and learned as many ideal photo moments emerged during their wedding coverage.

“I had just moved to the area and was second shooting a lot to fill up empty calendar dates and score as much free cake as possible,” says Little. “At this point in the day, we had just wrapped up detail shots of the outdoor reception space and everyone had just taken their seats. I was concentrating on guests meeting their fellow table mates when I heard laughter behind me and turned to see Rosa and Robbie giving Rosa’s parents a quick hug.”

For Little, it was the ideal moment, the kind many wedding photographers hope for. “Soft, natural light from the setting sun, a beautifully decorated table, boldly colored rich textiles and a diverse group of ridiculously happy people who managed to perfectly arrange themselves in a completely spontaneous manner. And then we had cake! It was truly a great day.”
