According to wedding and portrait photographer Marija Obradovic, the location of this portrait, at Palazzo Roverella in the cultural center of Circolo dei Negozianti, is definitely one of the hidden gems of Ferrara, Italy.

“This breathtaking Renaissance palace, situated in the very center of the city, was built at the beginning of 16th century by Girolamo Magnanini, a very important person on the court of Duke Alfonso I d’Este,” says Obradovic. “Today the building is home to a members-only association, open to the public only for special occasions. Luckily, I was very kindly permitted to use it as a location for my styled shoot back in February. I really love the shades of yellow, green and blue in the image—they fit perfectly with a mood that recalls Renaissance paintings but is interpreted with a contemporary look.”
