It was 15 minutes until showtime at the Walton House in Homestead, Florida, and guests were making their way into the venue as this flower girl watched from above. “She was very curious as to what all the hustle and bustle was with people outside,” notes photographer Jessenia Gonzalez of La Vie Studios, which she runs with her friend Jose Mena.

Gonzalez had just finished taking a bridal party picture by the window and as the bridesmaids scattered, the flower girl decided to stay behind to watch the commotion down below. “I’ve learned to continuously keep shooting through scenes and be quick on my feet,” Gonzalez explains. “If I had left with the bridal party, I would have missed this sweet moment.”
