Flapjacks may not be your go-to WPPI hangover food (we’d go with the eggs), but Fotodiox’s FlapJack LEDs are thin and portable enough that they can be your go-to LED for location work.
The pancake-thin lineup is getting two new models at WPPI 2017.
The new Edgelight Studio XL is the largest FlapJack yet at 30-inches. You’ll be able to adjust color temperature and brightness manually or via DMX remote control. It includes an AC adapter but can also run off of a pair of V-lock batteries.
The Edgelight Studio XL is just 1cm thick and operates silently. It delivers 1,980 lumens with a Color Rendering Index of 96. It will set you back $1,100.
The second new FlapJack LED is the Edgelight 1.5 x 1.5. The panel also offers brightness and color temperature control via a DMX remote or manually and has integrated barndoors.
Like the Studio, the Edgelight is silent and has a CRI of 96. The 1,278 lumen light includes an AC adapter and a carrying case.
It will cost $650.
