“I highlight love and emotion with light, and express feeling with shadow,” says Kane Lim, who operates under the business pseudonym Kane.CY. “This perfect pair is my greatest tool to tell a story.”

Lim prefers to use strong light and heavy shadow to create a unique frame for the couple, showcasing the emotional bond between them. Lim is gripped by the art of love and is always looking for opportunities to showcase that passion in each photograph.

He aims to connect with more than just the client, but also with their greater friends and family on the wedding day, in order to garner genuinely humanistic photographs. Lim feels this great connection to his subjects beyond the camera, adding, “This is why I love wedding photography. Sometimes when they cry, I cry too. Emotion is the key reason for me to press every shutter button.”
