Heiko and Cati do not feel like wedding photographers, but they love to shoot weddings. They admit to seeing the world in a different way. “We do not photograph how it looks but how it feels,“ they say. “Our strength is that we tell the story of the day without disturbing the couple or the guests, but at the same time, we create images that can rise above pure photojournalism.” They prefer a look that reminds them of film. “With color images, we like a more subtle look with faded blacks. It reminds us of paintings. Our black-and-white images often have very high contrast and are abstract and minimalistic.”
