Jess Hunter

Originally from Georgia, Jess Hunter spontaneously moved to Alaska before settling in Washington state with her husband. In creative pursuit of nostalgia, Hunter shoots “the heavier, intimate moments that may be more serious at times,” and loves to incorporate shadows into her work. Having “never been a fan of cliché, bright photos,” the Canon shooter is drawn to darker images, where she finds a stronger sense of emotion. “I believe it’s vital to creating something authentic to me versus replicating everyone else.”
