We are doing something a little different this week for our Wedding of the Week: Instead of highlighting just one wedding, we are showcasing the winners of the 2018 Love Stories TV Wedding Film Awards, a global award program that focuses entirely on the art of wedding filmmaking and celebrates some of the most innovative and highly respected filmmakers in the world. (The Love Stories TV awards ceremony took place in NYC on April 23, in partnership with B&H Photo Video.)

A Little Long Distance, comprising Nashville-based husband-and-wife duo Josh and Jess Helton, won the “Filmmaker of the Year” award, as well as “Most Creative Cinematography” for this video of bride and groom Megan + Taylor. There’s an epic reaction by the groom during the second half of the video, which A Little Long Distance captured so well, plus the filmmakers  made the story even more engaging by mixing in other film footage.

“We are so humbled and honored to have received these incredible awards,” say Josh and Jess of their wins. “It means the world to us that other leading filmmakers who we look up to have watched and resonated with our films. We’re so grateful to the couples who have allowed us to be an intimate part of their day and entrusted us to create an heirloom. Thank you to the entire wedding filmmaking community and to Love Stories TV and B&H Photo for making this all possible. We’re stoked to continue connecting with our fellow filmmakers and building community over competition.”

Said Vanessa Buenger, head of growth marketing and lead filmmaker liaison at LSTV: “The Wedding Film Awards, and Love Stories TV as a whole, were created because we believe that wedding films are magical and deserve to be celebrated. We’re honored to bring attention to the incredible talent and work being done by the artists in our community. The 2018 Wedding Film Awards was an incredible evening spent with filmmakers and wedding industry members, and we can’t wait to see seeing what gorgeous works of art the next year will bring!”
