Up Up and Away [Rf Photo of the Day]

This shot was taken in Toronto by Hugh Whitaker, a 30 Rising Star from 2015, and his wife, fellow photographer Jennifer Moher. “For me the unexpected and unique events of individual wedding days are what I love to photograph,” says Whitaker, which is exactly what this photo represents.

As the couple was being set up for a shot in “an interesting patch of light,” he recalls, “a gust of wind came down through the alley and lifted the veil out of the bride’s hair and right up the side of the building. It then hovered in what was possibly the most perfect spot it could have.”

Whitaker then took roughly 15 frames of the whole event, “but this one with the bride’s hand reaching up and the veil in the perfect spot was definitely my favorite.”
