Jesse and Rebecca Turnquist knew they had to use this trolley as a backdrop for this couple's wedding as soon as they found out the bride's dad runs the old-time transport system in Kingston, New York. "It was a must," the photographers say.
But spur-of-the-moment ideas aren't always easy to execute. With ten bridesmaids and groomsmen total in the trolley, it took some finessing to make sure all faces were visible. The trolley was parked right in front of a busy parking lot, "so making sure to not get any cars in the bottom of the shot was a bit tricky," the Turnquists recall.
But, in the end, the photographers captured an image that's very personal and meaningful to the bride and her family. Plus, they say, "It was just such a unique shot to capture. It's not every day you get to have access to a beautiful, bright orange trolley!"
