With minutes to go before this vintage-inspired wedding ceremony, New England-based photographer Rick Reade captured this bride in an unsuspecting moment. "Every detail is important to her," Reade explains, and here, she's adjusting the sash on her gown to make sure it is "absolutely perfect."
With natural window light streaming through, Reade notes that the bride's profile and figure are illuminated in a way that is "beautifully timeless, partly concealing her face in the shadow." A bit of extra warmth is added by a wall light just behind the bride's head, and to complete the final frame in post, Reade says he "maxed out the whites and intentionally darkened the blacks a little too much to emphasize the fall-off and to create a natural vignette."
