It can be challenging to capture a perfectly staged shot on a busy wedding day, but that didn’t stop United Kingdom-based Sansom Photography‘s Chris Sansom (a 2015 Rf 30 Rising Star with his wife, Verity) from bringing his unique concept to fruition. Taken at the conservatory at the Kilshane House in Tipperary, Ireland, Sansom says he loves this photo because “it’s one of the rare moments when an image has turned out just the way I had pictured it in my head.”

To make the shot, Sansom captured the reflected light from the flash on the windows of the conservatory to, he says, “make a frame within a frame.” For Sansom, this image represents a rare occasion where the final result turns out just the way he had intended. “Shots like this one prove to me that it’s worth planning and thinking of new ideas, even if it’s just for the occasional time when everything falls into place.”
