The usual chaos that occurs at a wedding ensued just moments before this bride was set to make her way down the aisle at Château Montebello in Quebec. “The wedding planner was buzzing about ensuring everyone was just as they needed to be,” says Justyna Bedford of Ottawa-based duo Joel & Justyna.

Justyna was standing across from the bride and her maid of honor when she noticed the shy little flower girl having a peaceful moment amid all the movement. “Muscle memory kicked in and I set my camera to my usual favorite setting, which for me means a slow shutter, and I quickly acted,” Justyna says. The photo she captured in that fleeting moment won the grand prize in Rangefinder‘s Wedding contest this year. “A few seconds later, the group was out the door. It was pure love and peace in a moment of chaos!”
