Nothing could wipe the smile off of this bride’s face the day after her wedding—not even an accidental stumble down a sand dune.

The harmless incident occurred while the bride and groom were taking post-wedding photos with destination photographer Ralf Czogallik of Eppel Fotografie in Dubai. “We had just finished some posed shots when I asked them to run down the dunes in the desert. This was right when the bride fell and landed on her dress—it was an extra soft landing,” the photographer recalls. “She laughed and enjoyed every second!”

Luckily, Czogallik was camera-ready to capture the light-hearted aftermath. “Because it’s a real moment, it’s harder to anticipate,” he says. “You have to be ready all the time for the unexpected on days like this. It’s just like shooting a ceremony in that you need to stay focused and always expect something will happen.”
