Photographer Corey Lynn Tucker was hosting a workshop in her Connecticut-based studio when she noticed a beautiful beam of light shining in and breaking the shadows. The workshop was actually about off-camera lighting techniques but, says Tucker, “Once I saw the light, I knew I had to move my models into it. Nothing beats natural light!”

The two subjects had just met, but Tucker says their connection in this photo is what draws her in. “I love that it’s so dark and moody, and I love her intense gaze into his eyes.”
