Photographer Divishth Kakkar of DelhiVelvet shot this right after this groom’s Anand Karaj, the Sikh ceremony. “We asked him to stand just behind a big leaf,” Kakkar says, “and it was making a pattern on his face.”

The serenity of this frame is indicative of the groom’s poise that day, the photographer adds. “He was cool and composed on his wedding day, and we just used it to our advantage. The light play and his expressions made the whole thing perfect.”
