When Maine-based photographer Greta Tucker traveled to the island of Nantucket to capture engagement portraits for couple Scott and Sarah, she knew it would take some warming up since it was her first time meeting them. So, instead of straight posing them, Tucker went for a different approach.

“I asked them to do something that would bring out their inner child,” she says. “In this shot, I wanted them to look as natural and happy as possible, so I asked Scott to take Sarah’s hand and run—maybe even skip!”

It was an overcast day so the natural light played to Tucker’s favor. “The result is pleasing,” she says. “I love how happy they look and how the colors work together and complement the flag.”
