Fiji photographers Ropate and Gitte of Kama Catch Me were on the tiny island of Wayasewa, in a tiny room where the bride was getting ready. “Her room was so busy with comings and goings, last-minute preparations and colorful Fijian patterns,” that the duo decided that to get a quiet portrait of the bride, they’d need to pull her aside.

This room was just a few steps away, a location with “great light,” they say, “and the color and texture of the walls complement her traditional Fijian wedding dress beautifully.”
