Newlyweds Sarah and Mike didn’t want to go too far for their portraits, according to photographer Kyle Szeto. This image was taken just outside of the Ace Hotel, located in the Fulton Market neighborhood of Chicago.

“A friend of mine showed me this parking lot with a completely black wall, just a couple of blocks away from the couple’s venue,” says Szeto. “As soon as I saw the symmetry and lines of the parking spaces, I knew I wanted to capture them there.”

Szeto says he got in nice and wide with his 35mm lens and set up Sarah and Mike in the middle of the space; “the rest was just them,” he says. “They look at one another, smiling from ear to ear, completely over the moon because it was hitting them that they were getting married in less than an hour.”
