Rustically Charming Greenhouse Engagement

The rustic feel of this abandoned greenhouse in Pennsylvania’s Valley Forge National Historic Park instantly attracted Dana Lou and Vince Bruinsma of Earth Mark Photography; they just had to wait for the right clients who would also appreciate the beauty of the space. Luckily, this couple came along.

“We both gravitate toward man-made places that have slowly been reclaimed by nature, and I wanted to capture as much of that as possible in this shot,” Bruinsma explains. To capture the photo, he positioned himself at the far end of the greenhouse—carefully avoiding the poison ivy—and posed the couple on the opposite side, creating enough distance “to capture as much of the lush greenery as possible.”
