“It was a rough wedding journey for the bride, Jolyn,” says Hazicky Sirhan of Love Me Tender Films in Singapore. Jolyn’s from Singapore; her fiancé, Simone, was from Italy. More than planning a wedding for the two of them, Sirhan explains, the bride was also trying to make the logistics of their marriage work.

“Since the plan was for Simone to migrate to Singapore, Jolyn’s been the one turning stones, finding out how to help him with his Visa and also finding a suitable home for the both of them. With the big mirror outside the bride’s room, I felt it was a good opportunity for Jolyn to spend a moment with her reflection. I wanted her to look at how beautiful she was and how far she had come to make their dreams happen. I feel very proud of her, even as an outsider.”
