It rained in Savannah, Georgia, and the following day, photographer Cole Whitworth set out to shoot a playful photo session of two adorable sisters around their home. Besides eating ice cream in the backyard with their dolls and riding bikes around their neighborhood’s cul-de-sac, they also had some fun with the leftover puddles.

“Lily here is admiring her reflection in the water,” Whitworth says, “and I just loved how the sun was starting to go down in the background, creating that warm glow and light we all love during the golden hour. I really wanted to show the light as well as the beautiful live oak trees and was captivated by the shimmering light reflecting off the water.”

The photographer caught a moment of stillness between splashes—crouching down to her height, aimed his Contax 645 medium-format camera with Kodak Portra 120 film and, he says, “snapped the photo right as I saw it.”
