Propping Up Vineyard’s Grapes as Wedding Holly

Benjamin Edwards, a wedding and portrait photographer based in Bend, Oregon, rarely brings props to a wedding. “If I must incorporate something, I like to utilize an item that is special to the couple or relates to the venue in some manner,” he says.

So for this wedding, which took place on a vineyard, Edwards suggested that the couple use a bunch of grapes, holding them up like holly as they kiss under it. “I usually do this at vineyard weddings and have yet to have anyone get upset,” Edwards says. “Of course, the couples never really seem to mind either. Just in case the light is too flat, I’ll have a three-foot Octobox on hand to create a bit more drama. We all need more drama, right?”
