One For the Books

Sometimes, people need no direction whatsoever for a photographer to capture a serendipitous frame—especially when kids are involved.

On a cloudy day with perfectly diffused light, Caroline Sada was kneeling down in a field as this bride and her two daughters sat down for some family portraits on her wedding day.

“As Ülle sat down with the girls, she kissed one of them, and somehow the other girl was just licking her lips and looking at me,” Sada recalls. “It was such a funny moment for me that I just had to capture.”

(Shot with a Canon EOS 6D and Sada’s favorite lens: the Sigma Art 35mm f/1.4.)
