After the first look and before the formal shoot and ceremony, this bride wanted to take a quick breather and spend some quality time with her young daughter. Captured in a room filled with natural light streaming through the windows and an open door at the Mill Creek Gardens in Walla Walla, Washington, photographer Alex Lasota says she stood back and just let the moment happen.

“As much as I like posing, I find the sweetest and most endearing moments are those that happen without instruction,” Lasota says. “Letting the nature of this moment happen organically was beautiful to me. Mother-daughter bonds are such a wonderful thing, and I know both of them will look back on this moment for the rest of their lives.”
