Captured during golden hour on Mangart mountain in Slovenia (on the border with Italy, near Treviso), this elopement image was taken by Croatian wedding photographer Marko Durin as he stood on a rock facing the newlyweds.

“Beneath me was a cliff with a 300-to-400-meter drop. And as I worked to get the perfect shot, I could hear my inner voice telling me, ‘Marko, be careful!’ I love this image because I know how strong and beautiful their love is—I felt it when I was with them. They are my kind of couple: spontaneous with an ‘out-of-the-box’ mindset, while still being aware and attentive.”

Durin adds that his photographic approach to is completely individual for each couple and that at the end of the day, all he wants to do is, “capture pure and raw emotion.”
