Rain didn’t stop this couple from enjoying their big day in Derbyshire, England. In fact, it made their wedding pictures even more special, notes photographer Louise of Louise Anna Photography.

When Louise initially envisioned this scene, she planned to have a tighter crop to showcase the couple’s monochrome wardrobe against the building’s iconic red brick. “Then I noticed the reflection of the lettered signs on the wet path so I tried to include that element too,” she says. In fact, much of the charm of this photo came down to chance. Says Louise, “I didn’t know exactly where they would walk or that the bride would hike up her dress to keep it out of the water. It was one of those serendipitous moments that just came together really nicely.”
