What do you do as a wedding photographer when you’re the Best Man at your brother’s wedding? For Chris Glenn, you don’t worry about coverage, you stay truly present in the day…and you bring an Ilford HP5 single-use disposable camera just for fun.

Here, Glenn explains, “I was looking in the bathroom, which had really cool tile and surprisingly good light, to take a quick pre-ceremony shot of my brother. As I happened to peek around the door as I turned around, I told him to freeze and snapped this single photo,” with the flash activated. “He’s not one for photos and was a bit reserved leading up to the ceremony, so I felt this photo encapsulated him perfectly. The anti-portrait.”

After Glenn posted the photos he took on the Ilford at his brother’s wedding, he was hired to shoot a 200-person wedding in Chicago using only 20 of the disposable cameras. “I’m both terrified and insanely excited for it,” he says.
