Malaysia-based wedding photographer Yazin Yussof of Rixo Film traveled to Kyoto, Japan, to capture the nuptials of Joey and Sayumi who, following the wedding, plan to settle down in the country. This portrait was captured the day after the wedding as the photographer and couple were heading to a scenic castle to take portraits.

“We were walking by the stairs up to the entrance and there were so many tourists all in the same place,” Yussof explains. “I asked the couple to stop in the middle of it all so I could get the perfect feeling amidst the scenery—a great moment with the newlyweds dressed in Japanese traditional costume surrounded by an eclectic crowd in their new homeland.”
