How do you elevate an image from good to outstanding? Wedding and fashion editorial photographer Christian Oth is a master at it, combining stunning locations, models and details into seamlessly high-impact imagery. For this Lake Como shoot at the magnificent Villa Sola Cabiati in Italy, Oth and his team got special permission from an Italian count to shoot in this historic room, which is usually off limits to the public. Oth photographed with a Phase One XF camera to capture all of the intricate fashion details.

“I love the look of medium format,” he says, “and this is one of my favorite photos from that shoot because of the room’s historic significance and the impeccable styling by Carrie Goldberg, the travel and weddings editor at Harper’s Bazaar. It was a dream location!”
