After shooting some photos of the bride’s coveted Inbal Dror dress in the bridal suite of his favorite hotel—the Maria Cristina in San Sebastian, Spain—Jesus Caballero wanted to get a shot outside the bounds of the bridal party-filled room.

“In two minutes, I found the place where I wanted to photograph both the bride and the dress, not far from the suite,” Caballero says. “I asked her sister-in-law to grab the dress and hold it for a moment while Laura watched, imagining what I wanted to do on the stairs.”

Caballero decided to shoot the frame right then—that was the more natural moment he was looking for, he says, “and Laura was so happy with that moment too!”
