For this boudoir session, photographer Paige Greener spent the day with the bride-to-be at the client’s home in Dallas, Texas. “We wanted to capture a zen and relaxing moment in the session,” Greener says. This bride was actually bathing in a tub surrounded by rose petals and drinking a glass of Champagne—pure bliss!

Meanwhile, though, the lighting in the room presented a bit of a visual challenge, Greener says. “Since the bride is facing the only window, I needed to turn up my ISO and use a softbox to the left of my subject to give a soft and subtle feel, as if it were all natural light.”

Fortunately, the extra effort paid off. The image became part of an album that the bride presented to her fiancée just before they walked down the aisle. “It tells a story,” Greener says of this shot. “You don’t need to see her face or even present a caption because you know exactly what this moment entails.”
