Bridal Prep

This is one of the first bridal portraits I took in my career on one of my first weddings,” says photographer Timo Hess. It was 2015, and after hunting down a good spot for a photo, he found a small storage room whose door had a small inset window.

“Since it was one of my first weddings,” he explains, “I was still a bit insecure if it was a good location. So I asked one of her bridesmaids if she wants some cool photos of herself first and invited the bride later that day for the real deal.” That’s when he shot this frame, and in his opinion, the extra preparation was “a great idea!”

(Shot on a Nikon D750 and Sigma 35mm f/1.4 Art lens at 35mm, f/1.4, 1/50 of a sec and ISO 100.)
