This intimate wedding took place on a 4-acre property in West Palm Beach, Florida, that the bride and groom had rented for their wedding. “It came complete with a lake, chickens and a goat,” says photographer Vanessa (of Vanessa & Johnny). “We had just finished taking a few formals and we were walking toward the chicken coop and goat when I took this picture.”

Vanessa says one of her favorite times to shoot is during blue hour. “And since the couple came from Denver and Chicago, I wanted to make sure I used the wall of palm trees as a backdrop for them to show they were at a destination,” she adds. “The bride custom-designed this gown herself, and I love how the silver stands out against the green. I also love the look on the groom’s face and all of the textures and colors around them.”
