Striking poses and making little noises as she went, she loosened up the nervous line of bridesmaids behind her.

 Amy Sims knew it when she spotted the patch of land off the beaten path at the New York Botanical Garden, that she and the soon-to-be-newlyweds she was photographing would need to find it again on their wedding day. “What I couldn’t have planned for was just how incredible the light would be,” Sims says, which helped direct where she’d ultimately place the bride and groom.
